This painting was mainly about the color harmony between the warm hues in the background, and the cool hues breaking from the sky above the horizon. I wanted to establish the mood of this painting mainly through the warm hues found in the background trees and the reflections on the water. To help maintain the warm mood, I also made the blues warmer. A wanted the warmth of the sun light to be the factor that drew the viewer’s attention to the painting. I am pretty much pleased with the end result.
The inspiration for this painting came from the beautiful photograph from Lillyxandra-x’s [link] Gallery.
